Activity Update

Mon Jul 13, 2009, 10:31 PM
i just wanted to let everyone know that this account probably will not be very active for a little while. i'm not saying that it's dead and you'll never see any art here, but photomanipulations and graphic work etc. etc. etc. --- you probably won't be seeing. at least until i get back into web-design a bit more.

for the time being, i've turned over a new found passion for all my original characters and drawings again, so for now, i'll be focusing on my new account, ~Aivre i really would love to see all of you guys over there, seeing as i'll be more active over there. but for right now, i'm putting graphic design on hold, because it was getting a bit stale.

anyways, i'll still be watching everyone's art, and i'd love to see your feedback on my digital art!

New Account?

Sun Jun 7, 2009, 6:48 PM
yep.

as it says in the artist comment of the W.I.P. i just uploaded:

" my account is so dying =/ i haven't had the time to sit down and do digital art, but i've had time to spend 3-4 hours or so on this? wtf! >_>;

no seriously though. i guess right now i'm finding drawing to be a little more rewarding. i'm enjoying it, because i haven't drawn (seriously drawn) in a few years . . .

anyways. opening a new account for my traditional stuff. you'll probably find this finished over there. i thought i'd post a WIP shot for the sole purpose of UPLOADING SOMETHING.

. . . i feel bad >_> "

but yes, lately i've been very productive, drawing wise; plus since i now have a tablet, it's making things go a little faster. i don't really want to upload drawings here =/ just because i feel that this is more home to my digital design work as opposed to artwork.

but anyways, the account is ~Aivre, and you're welcome to watch me over there if you'd like to see my drawings. they'll all end up getting digitally colored as well, once i have time. nothing over there now, but you're welcome to visit ;] i'm working on it ~

much love

Wacom Bamboo

Sat Jun 6, 2009, 3:58 PM
i bought one today =] i'm in love with it. it's so small and sleek, and there are blue LEDs on the buttons, which match all the other LEDs on my technology (my Razer mouse is blue, my Razer keyboard has blue back lighting, my Alienware has blue lights, the light on my stereo system is blue, and the power button on my monitor is blue. they're all the exact same color blue too =] )

much better than the old Graphire i had a while back. it's black, and the buttons are programmable. incidentally, all i have to do is hit a button to open World of Warcraft now! xD and i programmed a button for Photoshop as well. (they're the FN1 and FN2 buttons on the tablet. above those are back and forward buttons, typically for web-browsing).

it cost me $70 and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the money. the other versions, like the Bamboo Fun, and the Bamboo Craft only have differences in what they come with, and their design is a little different as well. both of them come with software, while the regular Bamboo doesn't. this was fine for me, as i already have all the software that i need, but if you don't have Photoshop, and you want an image editing program, you might want to pay the extra $20 (the Bamboo Fun is $100) because it comes with Corel Painter, and Photoshop Elements 6.0.

the Bamboo Craft on the other hand, is geared towards digital scrapbooking, and that comes with various software and a magazine subscription (the Bamboo Craft is $130) they both also come with a small mouse, where as the regular Bamboo doesn't.

i have the smaller Bamboo tablet, 3x5, and to be honest, it's perfect. although if you like more room, that would be the only reason you'd want to go any bigger. overall, i love it. and it was definitely more than worth what i paid for it.

off to drawing now. cheers everybody :sun:
